To insert YouTube videos into a phpBB3 forum is a simple way, (which actually did not know until recently) …
It’s can make a fantastic option for phpBB3, which is the creation of custom BBcode codes. In 2 minutes you will have the ability to insert YouTube videos on your phpbb3 forum, with a simple button to activate the BBcode.
The purpose of these lines is to create a custom BBCode tags and a button to insert YouTube videos with the syntax [youtube] ACBDE1234 [/ youtube] (where ACBDE1234 is the code of the video taken from YouTube).
This change does not present particular difficulties, if you make mistakes you can still remove the BBCode that you created without damage … but you still pay attention to what you write.
First you have to go in the admin panel of phpBB3.
Then click on the tab “Content”, you are in the section to add custom BBCode.
Now click on the button “Add new BBCode”. See a page with 4 areas:
-Using BBCode: here we have to write their own “piece” of custom BBCode. Essentially this block of code is replaced with the HTML when page is loaded. Fact [youtube] ACBDE1234 [/ youtube] will be replaced by the code needed to be able to embed Youtube videos.
-Transform HTML: Here you write the HTML code that must be replaced with BBCode we just wrote. Help-line: simple text to display when you move the mouse on BBCode
